Local area

The urban village of Bamber Bridge is situated about 3 miles south-east of Preston within the borough of South Ribble. By the mid-18th century calico printing had been established in the village and was the first example of this anywhere in Lancashire.
The village has been served by a railway since the time of the first cotton mills when a line was built connecting Blackburn with the West Coast Mainline at Farington (Leyland).
To the south of the village is a retail and business park which has two major supermarkets. Adjacent to this is the western approach of the M65 which then crosses and links directly to both the M6 and M61.
In terms of connectivity there are few places that are better.
